Free Claude Code credits, but only if you play in Anthropic’s sandbox

The part I’d be watching is whether this ends up feeling like a workaround for local limits rather than a genuinely better workflow. That sounds clean on paper, but in practice these kinds of “free until you like it” promotions are usually about habituation. Get people used to offloading long-running work, then make the hosted path the one they don’t want to give up.

I’d probably try it, honestly. Not because $250 is magical, but because async coding sessions are one of the few Claude Code features that might change how you actually use the thing day to day. Still, I’d want to know whether the remote session is truly reliable for long tasks, whether state survives in the way you expect, and how much friction there is when you move between local and cloud.
