Claude in the car feels more useful than it sounds
The part that actually interests me here is not “Claude in CarPlay,” because that headline basically writes itself. It’s that Apple has apparently finally loosened the CarPlay sandbox enough to let a third-party chatbot live inside the interface at all. That’s the real story. The rest is just Anthropic being early enough to get a working integration out first, before everyone else piles in. I’m mildly surprised Apple allowed this without letting the assistant touch vehicle controls or iPhone fun
