「Ollamaって、まだこういう伸び方をするんだ」と少し驚いた。ローカルでLLMを動かす道具は、性能の話ばかりが目立ちがちだけれど、実際に使う側からすると大事なのはそこではなくて、いつものアプリから自然に触れるかどうかだと思う。今回の話はまさにそこを埋めにきている。 Claude Desktop から Ollama のモデルをそのまま選べるようになる、というのは地味に見えてかなり効く。ローカル実行の強みって、機密を外に出しにくいとか、ネットがなくても動くとか、そういう説明で語られやすい。でも日常で面倒なのは、モデルを別の場所で管理して、別の画面で試して、また別の画面に戻ることだったりする。そこが一本につながるだけで、急に“実験用のツール”から“使える環境”に近づく感じがある。 一方で、まだmacOSのみで、Windowsは「間もなく」なのも、いかにもこの分野らしいなと思った。面白い機能ほど、最初は環境が限られる。しかも今回は以前いったん実現して、すぐ撤回された経緯まである。こういう揺れ方を見ると、ローカルAIの世界はまだ仕組みが固まりきっていないのだろうと感じる。便利そうに見えても、裏

読んでまず思ったのは、こういう連携って技術そのものよりも、配布のしかたや制約との綱引きで決まるんだな、ということだった。Claude Desktop からローカルの model を使えるようにする話は一見すると便利機能のニュースに見えるけれど、実際には「前回は数日で止まった」というところが本体に近い。そこが妙に生々しい。 面白いのは、Ollama がやろうとしていることが、単に Qwen や DeepSeek、Kimi を動かせます、で終わらない点だと思う。Model の種類が増えるのはもちろん嬉しい。でも本当に効くのは、Claude Desktop 側の制約をどうかわすか、という実装の工夫のほうだろう。proxy を噛ませていると聞くと、ちょっとした小細工にも見えるけれど、こういう迂回路があるからこそ現実の製品は動く。きれいな正攻法だけでは通らない場面って、やっぱり多い。 それと、この記事を読んで少し引っかかったのは、こうした「つながった、でもまた止まるかもしれない」タイプの機能が、ユーザー体験としてどこまで安心できるのかという点だ。便利さはある。かなりある。でも外部のルールやモデル
